Feature: Stacking the Shelf

Meme name: Stacking the Shelves
Day: Saturday
Hosted by: Tynga's Reviews
Description: Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Please check out the host's website to see the rules for this Meme.

I have recently had the privilege of being part of the Yellow Pages Reviewers, also known as Step By Step Self Publishing. Here I was asked a couple of questions in regards to my review policy and genre preference which would eventually be placed in their March newsletter.
Please see my advert in the newsletter of March here.

I have already had quite a few authors contact me with some wonderful books! They are the following:

Acting Obsessed by Peter Silverman
Catalyst by Marc Johnson
Moonlight Dancer by Deb Atwood
The Participants by Brian Blose

I have also been lucky to receive some great books from NetGalley!

Elemental: The First by Alexandra May
A Shimmer of Angels by Lisa. M. Basso
Riptide by Lindsey Scheibe

I am extremely excited to read all these books as they all have very interesting and enticing synopsis! Please check them out and perhaps one or two (or more) of these books may be something you would want on your to-read list!
What is stacking up on your shelf? Let me know by commenting below! Any new followers please also let me know, I would love to also check out your blog

  1. Well, this looks just a tad more manageable than my books for the week. :)

I like the cover for A Shimmer of Angels. I'll have to check that one out.

    Happy reading!

  2. All of those covers look appealing! The Moonlight Dancer immediately drew me in (I'm half-korean and that is definitely korean garb!). I'll have to follow your links to goodreads now! :)

Happy reading! I have to scurry back to my netgalley reads as I'm woefully behind!

    1. Hi Debbie!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I also always love your sweet comments :) I actually have heard about the Vampire Academy, I think MTV even did a show on it? But I never really looked into it, but now that you mention it I perhaps should!!
I did a lot of research to try to find out how to do the roll over the images effect. I honestly can't remember what website it was but I searched in google: Image hover effect for blogger. And I think after clicking a few websites I found a good tutorial!

The blog roll I also found on some random site, but check out Funkychickens.com they have a lot of cool html stuff. That site was my savior as a beginner in HTML and website designing :) When you go to the webpage, on the left side there is a list and click on Marquees (or click here). There you have the text or images that can move from left to right or up and down :) Also, just googling will get you a long way! There's so much help sites out there! I sometimes had to re-size the images, but normally bloggers make their buttons the 'correct' size ;)

      Hope it helps!

      See you around soon! :)

  5. Shimmer of Angels has been getting very mixed reviews. Some like it (like me) and others HATE it. I hope you do like it. :) The Catalyst has such a gorgeous cover. Can't wait to read your review of it when you finish.

  6. Firstly- this is a really good haul :D Secondly- how did you manage that HTML that causes the images to enlarge when you hover over it? I'm in awe (:
