YAASSS!! I have been chosen to feature in this week's "Feature & Follow"! I hope you enjoy my mini interview!

My Interview!
When did you start blogging?

My first blog post was on March 4th 2012, that's when I officially started blogging! I have to admit that I have been on quite a long hiatus (from last year to the beginning of this month) due to a busy, busy lifestyle in London. Now I have moved back to my home country, the Netherlands, and in combination with my job I am finally finding the time to realize my passion again for reading and reviewing :)

What is your favorite part of book blogging?

I love writing reviews and then receiving comments from my followers who have also read the same book who either have a deep hatred or love for the book! Getting into a (healthy) 'discussion' about a book and talk about it's strengths and flaws is something I love doing (especially if I adored the book and we are able to share this admiration!).

What type of books do you mainly blog about?

I mainly blog about YA & paranormal books but from 'starting' authors I broaden my horizons a bit more, and so far this has really been successful!

What are your favorite books?

I would have to say thus far my favorite books are the Hunger Games collection and Julie Kagawa's
Collection, Blood of Eden (although I STILL haven't read the final book, which I am dying to *ordering it as we speak*!!)

What has been the best this that has happened to you because of book blogging?

Book blogging had opened up a new world for me. Meeting authors and other bloggers is just such a great pleasure, and I have realized how much I actually love reading! It has made me realize what I would like to do, not only as a hobby but as a career, and there may be something in the running where my career dream may come to realization!

... and now for the Feature & Follow question of the week!

Q: What is your favorite movie?

Wow I think this is the most general question I personally have witnessed from this feature... and a hard one too! I think I will section this question off between, my favorite movie adapted from a book and my favorite movie in general.

The reason why this is so hard for me is that I have SO many favorite movies! I have quite a wide variety of genres of movies which I really enjoy, but if I had to pin point one it would be Scify and Adventure!

My favorite movie adaptation would have to be..... (*drum roll....*)....

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE!
Katniss Everdeen is in District 13 after she shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta and a nation moved by her courage.

I actually loved this movie more than I did the first movie of this trilogy! I was so curious as to how the landscape would look like, how the new characters would be casted, and how they were going to apply the CGI in this movie since there is SO MUCH CRAZY STUFF HAPPENING IN THIS BOOK! I was so pleasantly surprised and pleased with everything they had executed and I felt that the directors really tried their hardest to keep as true to the book as possible and not to leave anything out (which is nearly impossible!)
Check out the trailer below!

Now, my favorite "general" movie was way to hard for me to pick... so I cheated a little and chose 2, haha! So... In no particular order... my favorite "general" movies are...

The Bodyguard!
pop singer has been receiving threatening notes, and her manager hires a bodyguard known for his good work. The bodyguard ruffles the singer's feathers and most of her entourage by tightening security more than they feel is necessary. The bodyguard is haunted by the fact that he was on Reagan's secret service staff but wasn't there to prevent the attack by Hinckley. Eventually the bodyguard and the singer start an affair, and she begins to believe his precautions are necessary when the stalker strikes close to home.

This is an oldie, but I absolutely love it! It has everything in it: action, romance, thrill, drama...! This is such a classic movie which I feel everyone should have watched, at least once! Kevin Costner is one of my all time favorite actors and Whitney Houston is just breathtaking  in this movie! This is one of those movies where just SO MUCH happens and never in one moment are you lost or bored.
Check out the trailer below!

And my other favorite movie, and the genre couldn't be any different, is....

Tron: Legacy!
Sam Flynn, the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn, looks into his father's disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 20 years. Along with Kevin's loyal confidant Quorra, father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous. Meanwhile, the malevolent program CLU, who dominates the digital world, plans to invade the real world and will stop at nothing to prevent their escape. From: imdb.com
This movie I absolutely ADORE! When I came out of the movie theater after watching Tron my boyfriend and I were completely WOW'ed!! I was absolutely stunned that this movie didn't receive a higher rating. The characters, the movie scenes, and the MUSIC (Daft Punk)!! Weeks after I watched the movie it still clasped to my mind! I definitely recommend this thrilling and adventurous movie!

  1. Congratulations on being the featured blogger this week! Wow, the Netherlands, I'd love to visit both London and the Netherlands, I love YA too.

I actually feel like most movie adaptations the 2nd movie is always better than the first as they get so much more $ for their budget whereas movie 1 is always got a smaller budget so makeup, special effects aren't always as brilliant.

    Have a great weekend!

  2. Hi Angelica! Thanks so much for visiting :)
Yes that's actually quite a good point, and must be why the 2nd one was way more pumped up with CGI and great costumes & makeup!

You blog is absolutely adorable looking!
