When I heard they had tiny little parts revealed of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie trailer out on the MTV movie awards commercial, I immediately jumped up my seat and raced to my laptop to check it out! In this small preview you see where Katniss Everdeen and Peta Melark are introduced to take part of the 74th annual Hunger Games! You see how Katniss' arm is raised and she supports a smile which we readers undoubtedly know of course isn't as genuine as many people may believe... ;)
The world premier of the teaser trailer will come out on 14th April live 9/8c during the MTV Movie Awards. I will definitely be watching this live and I cannot wait to see the teaser trailer (finally!!).
Will you be watching? What are your thoughts of the tiny snippets of what's to come on April 14th?
Movie: City of Bones Series: The Mortal Instruments From the Author: Cassandra Clare Movie Director: Harald Zwart (The Karate Kid) Mentioned Release date: August 23rd, 2013
Unless you have been living under a rock in the past few weeks, you must know now that the Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (Book #1 of the series by Cassandra Clare) is going to be made in a movie and will be out in cinemas by August 23rd, 2013 (I can't wait this long!!).
Now I know, from my book review on City of Bones I did not seem overly excited about it. But the further I got through the series, the more I fell in love with the stories and the characters! Especially after seeing this trailer I can't wait to see the first book as a movie! Now I know from experience that movies originating from books are not always as good as the book itself, but this will definitely not stop me from seeing City of Bones! The director is also known from the movies The Karate Kid, Pink Panther 2, and Agent Cody Banks. AND, he is Dutch (as I am), so there's a proud moment for me ^^
See the trailer below:
Now I wasn't too fond of the castings (as I imagined Jace much more built and Handsome!) but after seeing the trailer I am slightly more convinced.
The cast list is as following:
Clary Fray ....................... Lily Collins (Mirror Mirror: The Untold Adventures of Snow White) Jace Wayland .................. Jamie Campbell Bower (Camelot ; The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 & 2) Simon Lewis ................... Robert Sheehan (Season of the Witch) Alec Lightwood ............... Kevin Zegers (It's a Boy Girl Thing) Isabelle Lightwood .......... Jemima West Valentine Morgenstern ..... Jonathan Rhys Meyers (From Paris with Love; The Tudors) Jocelyn Fray ................... Lena Headey (300) Luke Garroway ............... Aidan Turner (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey) Magnus Bane .................. Godfrey Gao
Check for more information of the characters here.
Not too bad I would say, especially Alec Lightwood and Valentine Morgenstern (hubba hubba!). And they better dye Jonathan (Valentine's) hair bleach blond or else they'll completely fail to portray his icey cold character...
So are you readers who have read the City of Bones looking forward to the movie?? I know I am!!
Review on City of Glass (Book #3) will follow very soon!
